The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 1/21/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 1/22/2025, MPD received 371 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (78),East (68), Midtown (55), North (65), South (44), West (59), and Other (2). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

North/Crash – 7:11am: Officers responded to an injury crash. One subject was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. No other injuries. A 73-year-old male driver was cited for unsafe lane deviation.
Central/Assist MFD – 7:44am: Officers responded, along with MFD/EMS, to a report of a subject who had fallen through the ice. The subject was pulled safely to shore and treated by EMS.
East/Death Investigation – 12:26pm: Officers responded to a residence for a report of a deceased subject (54-year-old male). Nothing suspicious identified.
West/Crash – 3:48pm: Officers responded to an injury crash. A subject was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. A 52-year-old male subject was arrested for two outstanding child support warrants, operating after revocation, and IID tampering.
West/Domestic Disturbance – 9:43pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 17-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

Midtown/Trespassing – 2:18am: Officers responded to a local hospital for a 39-year-old female subject refusing to leave the premises. The subject was uncooperative with officers. The subject was arrested for resisting and cited for trespassing.
