The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 1/29/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 1/30/2025, MPD received 415 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (68),East (106), Midtown (71), North (58), South (47), West (56), and Other (9). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

North/Intoxicated Driver – 5:23am: Officers responded to a report of a subject (23-year-old male) passed out in a vehicle at an intersection. The subject was contacted. The subject admitted to using heroin. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense), possession of heroin, and bail jumping (3 counts).
Midtown/Death Investigation – 7:11am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (67-year-old male subject). Medical Examiner's office responded. Decedent had been sick for the past week. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 12:08pm: Officers responded to a report of a 42-year-old male passed out in a vehicle. The subject was revived with naloxone. The subject was arrested on a probation hold and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Central/Death Investigation – 12:17pm: Officers responded to a report of a subject (50-year-old male) down. The subject was located deceased. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 3:50pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 36-year-old male subject. Emergency detention explored but not supported. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, felony bail jumping, and misdemeanor bail jumping.
East/Missing Adult – 8:59pm: A 73-year-old male subject was reported as walking away from his memory care facility. K9 track conducted. The subject was located safe and transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 1:58am: Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated subject (60-year-old male). The subject was contacted and found to be in violation of his bail conditions. The subject was arrested for bail jumping.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 2:22pm: Officers responded to a report of a male subject physically assaulting a female subject. Contact made with the victim who provided limited information. The male subject was not on scene. Investigation continuing.
