The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 2/3/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 2/4/2025, MPD received 465 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (78),East (85), Midtown (86), North (69), South (55), West (80), and Other (12). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 6:03am: Officers responded to a report of an unwanted person (39-year-old male). The subject was arrested for unlawful trespass after notification and possession of drug paraphernalia.
South/Stolen Auto – 6:18am: A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases. *Vehicle located.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 9:56am: A 35-year-old male subject was cited/released for unlawful trespass after notification.
East/Death Investigation – 12:22pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (68-year-old female). Evidence of drug use observed. Medical Examiner's office responded. Autopsy scheduled. Investigation continuing.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 1:25pm: Officers responded to a report of a 71-year-old female subject refusing to leave the premises. The subject was arrested for trespassing. Once at the jail it was determined that the subject was in need of medical treatment. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital and left in the care of medical staff. Order-in for trespassing provided to the subject.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 3:35pm: A 31-year-old male subject was arrested for violating a restraining order.
North/Animal Complaint – 6:35pm: Officers responded to a report of 10 loose dogs, biting people. Numerous subjects were bit by the dogs. A 49-year-old female subject was issued 15 municipal citations and received one criminal offense referral. The dogs were all secured and conveyed to the humane society. West/Disturbance – 9:45pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 22-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
