The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 2/7/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 2/10/2025, MPD received 1,264 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (199),East (264), Midtown (236), North (219), South (151), West (168), and Other (27). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

West/Domestic Disturbance – 11:05am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 26-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 11:32am: A 41-year-old male subject with an outstanding warrant was arrested and transported to jail.
West/Domestic Disturbance – 11:34am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 53-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.
West/Adult Arrested Person – 2:30pm: Officers responded to a report of a violation of a court order in progress. A 40-year-old male subject was arrested for knowingly violating a court order, stalking, and obstructing. A 52-year-old female subject was arrested for knowingly violation a court order (party to a crime) and obstructing.
North/Theft – 6:18pm: Officers responded to a business for a 33-year-old male subject loading up merchandise (subject has a history of stealing items). Officers arrived as the subject was driving out of the lot. Traffic stop was conducted. Stolen merchandise observed/recovered. The subject was arrested for retail theft, possession of meth, and a probation hold.
West/Missing Adult – 6:51pm: A 90-year-old male subject was reported missing after going out for a walk and not returning for several hours. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases. Silver Alert being explored. *Subject located safe.
South/Disturbance – 8:28pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 39-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, and a probation violation.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 1:34am: Officers responded to a report of a subject (50-year-old male) with an axe. The subject was contacted by officers. The subject attempted to flee but was apprehended. The subject was arrested for resisting, an outstanding warrant, and bail jumping.
North/Sexual Assault of a Child – 2:53am: Officers responded to a sexual assault of a child allegation. A 14-year-old male subject was arrested for 1st degree sexual assault of a child. The subject was conveyed to the Juvenile Reception Center.
North/Death Investigation – 4:52pm: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (82-year-old female). Nothing suspicious identified.
Midtown/Check Person – 5:40pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject walking around naked and throwing furniture. The subject was taken into protective custody and transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Final outcome pending. *Emergency detention sought and approved. The subject was conveyed to Winnebago.
North/Death Investigation – 6:59pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (90-year-old female). Nothing suspicious identified.
East/Disturbance – 8:32pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 32-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
North/Disturbance – 10:53pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 26-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
North/Mental Health Conveyance – 11:52pm: A subject under a Chapter 51 commitment was transported to a facility in Milwaukee, where they were refused and redirected to a facility in Madison. The subject made it to a facility in Madison. Mental Health resources in town seeking the Chapter 51 return. MPD officers had brief contact with the subject. The subject was ultimately accepted to Winnebago and a third-party transport agency made the conveyance.

Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 3:44am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic false imprisonment and domestic battery.
South/Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 4:19am: A stolen vehicle from another jurisdiction was located/recovered in Madison.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 4:29pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 44-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery. *Officers called back to the jail as the subject was in need of a mental health evaluation. The subject's true identity was also discovered. An emergency detention was sought/approved. Transport to Winnebago pending.
Retail Theft – 5:57pm: Officers responded to a retail theft in progress involving a 29-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for retail theft, outstanding warrants, and multiple bail jumping charges.
Central/Disturbance – 6:36pm: Officers responded to sounds of a disturbance. When attempting to detain a 27-year-old male subject, he resisted officers. The subject was arrested for resisting. No other charges substantiated.
North/Assist Police – 11:26pm: MPD was requested by Maple Bluff PD to assist with a high-risk vehicle contact. MPD provided personnel and equipment to assist in stabilizing the scene and attempted to establish contact. MPD personnel disengaged from this call after approximately 2.5 hours and left the scene in control of the initiating agency. Central/Intoxicated Driver – 1:06am: Officers responded to a report of a driver/vehicle striking a parked vehicle. The witness reported that the driver fled the scene, and then returned. The 38-year-old male driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense).
