The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 2/14/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 2/17/2025, MPD received 1,309 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (250),East (256), Midtown (221), North (227), South (134), West (198), and Other (23). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 7:37am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 51-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct.
Central/Check Person – 8:27am: Officers responded to a report of a 33-year-old female subject who appeared to be impaired and had thrown a cup of coffee at an employee. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Central/Unwanted Subject – 8:31am: Officers responded to a report of an unwanted subject who refused to leave the premises. The subject was taken into protective custody and transported to a local hospital. An emergency detention was sought/approved. Placement pending.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 11:01am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 52-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
North/Sexual Assault – 12:21pm: Officers responded to a report of a sexual assault. Probable cause being drafted for the suspect for 4th degree sexual assault.
South/Death Investigation – 12:46pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (84-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
Central/Disturbance – 3:03pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 28-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed and trespassing.

Central/Disturbance – 12:06am: Officers responded to a disturbance. A 25-year-old male subject was arrested for battery (party to a crime), disorderly conduct, and a probation hold. A 23-year-old female subject was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct, and obstructing.
Central/Missing Adult – 12:53am: A 27-year-old male subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.
East/Disturbance – 2:04am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct with a hate crime enhancer, battery to a police officer, resisting, and felony bail jumping.
South/Traffic Arrest – 2:13am: A 52-year-old male driver lost control and struck a utility pole. The driver attempted to leave the scene as officers arrived. The subject was arrested for eluding. MG&E responded to address the powerline/utility pole issues.
Central/Fire – 3:33am: Officers responded to a report of a trash can in a parking ramp on fire. Fire extinguished. Investigation continuing.
South/Attempted Homicide – 4:58am: Officers responded to a report of a subject who had been shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital conscious and breathing. Investigation continuing.
East/Death Investigation – 7am: Officers responded to a report of an 80-year-old male subject found down on the sidewalk. Lifesaving measures attempted, but not successful. Nothing suspicious identified.
North/Property Damage – 10:09am: Officers responded to a crash involving two vehicles. One of the vehicles started on fire. One of the drivers was cited for operating while suspended and failure to have maintain control.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 3:13pm: A 63-year-old male subject was taken into custody on 3 counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.
North/Check Person – 5:33pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. The subject was contacted and taken into protective custody. The subject was transported to a local hospital for an emergency detention evaluation. Final outcome pending. *Subject voluntarily admitted and officers disengaged.
Midtown/Mental Health Conveyance – 8:46pm: Officers responded to a local hospital for a suicidal subject in need of an emergency detention (sought/approved). The subject was transported to a local facility for placement.

South/Runaway Juvenile – 2:06am: A 14-year-old female subject was reported as a runaway. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The subject was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.
North/Traffic Arrest – 3:10am: A traffic stop was conducted. Drugs were observed in plain view. A 49-year-old male subject was arrested for possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
South/Domestic Disturbance – 3:17am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 25-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, once he is located.
West/Domestic Disturbance – 7:39am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 17-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
Central/Attempted Stolen Motorcycle – 3:08pm: Caller reported their motorcycle's ignition was broken and there was a lock pick device sheared off in the ignition. Investigation continuing.
North/Battery – 3:54pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 32-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery.
North/Traffic Arrest – 4:08pm: A traffic stop was attempted. The driver/vehicle fled. Officers did not pursue. The vehicle was later located, and a 21-year-old male subject was found hiding nearby. The subject was arrested for possession with intent to deliver marijuana, resisting, and bail jumping. Two other subjects remain at-large.
West/Check Person – 10:40pm: A suicidal subject was transported to a local hospital where they were voluntarily admitted. Officers disengaged.
2/17
South/Domestic Disturbance – 4:51am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 26-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.
Midtown/Check Person – 5:07am: Officers responded to a 911 disconnect. Officers came into contact with a subject who stated they tried to stab themselves. The subject was contacted and conveyed to a local hospital. Chapter 51 order in place. Placement pending.
