The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 2/17/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 2/18/2025, MPD received 426 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (57),East (75), Midtown (95), North (67), South (65), West (62), and Other (5). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

East/Death Investigation – 7:18am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (56-year-old male). Decedent is said to have a history of drug use. Drugs were located on/near the decedent. Nothing suspicious identified at this time. Autopsy pending.
Midtown/Death Investigation – 8:39am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (89-year-old female). DNR in place. Nothing suspicious identified.
North/Mental Health Conveyance – 1:08pm: A subject was transported to a local hospital for a voluntary mental health evaluation. Officers disengaged.
East/Disturbance – 5:07pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 56-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
South/Death Investigation – 4:43pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (79-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
East/Intoxicated Driver – 5:57pm: Officers responded to a report of a 65-year-old male driver who intentionally backed into another vehicle. The subject was contacted and found to be impaired. The subject was not cooperative with officers. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (5th offense), battery to law enforcement, and battery to medical personnel.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 10:47pm: A 46-year-old female subject, in violation of the terms of her supervision through DOC, was located and arrested on a DOC hold. She was also charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstructing.

South/Domestic Disturbance – 4:29am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 20-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 4:41am: Officers responded to a report of a theft. A 19-year-old male subject was contacted and found to be the suspect. He was arrested for criminal damage to property, theft, bail jumping, and resisting.
