The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 2/21/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 2/24/2025, MPD received 1,130 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (201),East (264), Midtown (182), North (187), South (119), West (155), and Other (22). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Central/Battery – 3:25am: A victim reported being physically attacked by several unknown subjects. The victim was conveyed to a local hospital for an evaluation/treatment. Investigation continuing.

Midtown/Death Investigation – 9:20am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (69-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time. Autopsy scheduled.

West/Weapons Offense – 11:04am: Officers responded to a report of a subject that had been stabbed. The victim was located and conveyed to a local hospital for an evaluation/treatment.  Investigation continuing. *Probable cause developed to arrest the suspect, who remains at-large.

East/Theft – 2:19pm: Officers responded to a restaurant for an intoxicated subject (45-year-old male) refusing to pay his bill. The subject was arrested for theft.

South/Domestic Disturbance – 3:02pm: Officers responded to a disturbance. A subject was taken into protective custody and transported to a local hospital for an emergency detention evaluation. Criminal charges forthcoming. Final outcome pending. *Subject transported to Winnebago.

North/Missing Adult – 3:41pm: A 26-year-old male subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases. *Resources continued to investigate this situation over the weekend. The subject was located deceased with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

West/Domestic Disturbance – 8:35pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 25-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

North/Domestic Disturbance – 10:08pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 24-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic substantial battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

Priority calls only from 2:20am to 6:37am due to calls for service.

Central/Disturbance – 2:02am: Officers responded to a report of a large fight. As officers arrived in the area subjects scattered and no one wanted to provide a statement. A 32-year-old male subject was identified as a subject who was punching random people. He was arrested for battery (2 counts) and disorderly conduct.

Midtown/Death Investigation – 3:24am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (81-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.

North/Disturbance – 4:12am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving two subjects (34-year-old female and 27-year-old female). Both subjects were arrested for disorderly conduct.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 8:54am: Officers responded to a report of a 35-year-old male subject causing issues at a store and stealing merchandise. The subject was arrested for theft, disorderly conduct, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of an electric weapon, and a probation violation.

West/Death Investigation – 8:56am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (76-year-old male subject). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.

West/Stolen Auto – 10:38am: A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

West/Missing Adult – 10:41am: A 45-year-old male subject was reported missing from his adult family home. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases. *Subject located safe.

Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 8pm: Officers responded to a health care facility for a disturbance involving a 60-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for attempted battery to health care provider.

West/Check Person – 9:04pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. Attempt to locate aired. Phone ping attempted. Areas checked. The subject was not located.

North/Domestic Disturbance – 12:58am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 24-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, battery, false imprisonment, and mistreating an animal.

North/Non-Residential Burglary – 4:31am: Officers responded to a burglary in progress at a business. The alarm company reported a male subject inside the business. Business cleared – no one located. Investigation continuing.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 4:32am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 39-year-old female subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject.

Midtown/Mental Health Conveyance – 6:05am: A subject was transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. Emergency detention sought/approved. Transport to Winnebago pending. Criminal charges also forthcoming for the subject. *Transport to Winnebago completed.

Midtown/Death Investigation – 7:55am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (66-year-old male subject). Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns. Nothing suspicious identified. Medical Examiner's office responded.

North/Domestic Disturbance – 9:25am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 34-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject for domestic criminal damage to property (2 counts). *Subject turned himself in.

Midtown/Disturbance – 6:46pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a juvenile that was throwing things/damaging items in the home and was armed with a hammer and a knife. The juvenile was taken into protective custody and transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Outcome pending.

Midtown/Check Person – 7:52pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was contacted and taken into protective custody. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Outcome pending.

North/Non-Residential Burglary – 8:36pm: A 57-year-old male subject threw a rock into a business to break-in. The subject was arrested for burglary, criminal damage to property, battery to law enforcement, and a probation hold.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 12:38am: Officers responded to an entry/exit alarm. When officers arrived, they observed two subjects (33-year-old male and 36-year-old male). The subjects refused to comply with officers' orders to stop. The subjects were detained. Both subjects were arrested for resisting and outstanding warrants. The 33-year-old subject also received a charge for battery.

East/Drug Incident – 1:46am: Officers responded to a report of a 20-year-old female subject experiencing a drug overdose. The subject was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. The subject was cited for possession of cocaine.
