The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 2/28/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 3/3/2025, MPD received 1,262 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (197),East (282), Midtown (221), North (199), South (157), West (181), and Other (25). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Midtown/Check Person – 1:26am: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. Evaluation completed. Emergency detention supported. The subject was subsequently transported to Winnebago.
South/Check Person – 2:37am: Officers responded to a report of a subject having a manic episode. The subject was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. An emergency detention was not supported. Safety plan put into place. Officers disengaged.
East/Death Investigation – 5:54am: Officers responded, along with MFD, to a pulseless non-breathing subject (59-year-old female). Lifesaving measures attempted, but not successful. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
North/Death Investigation – 7:54am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (45-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time. Autopsy pending.
Central/Child Neglect – 12:04pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of 7 children who were reportedly left alone for a week. Contact made at the residence. The children were found alone in deplorable conditions. The mother was contacted who gave conflicting information as to her whereabouts, but it was ultimately determined she had been in Chicago for the last week. Child Protective Services placed all the children. Charges forthcoming. Investigation continuing.
Midtown/Disturbance – 12:25pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 43-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Central/Disturbance – 2:28pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 48-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and misdemeanor bail jumping.
West/Missing Juvenile – 3:52pm: A 13-year-old female subject, possibly suicidal, was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. Juvenile located safe.
Midtown/Check Person – 7:51pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. Address for subject checked. The subject was found unconscious with a weak pulse and a laceration on their neck. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Investigation continuing.
West/Mental Health Conveyance – 8:27pm: Officers responded to a local hospital for a juvenile in need of an emergency detention. Emergency detention sought/approved. The juvenile was transported to Winnebago.
Central/Disturbance – 9:38pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 37-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.
North/Disturbance – 11:14pm: Officers responded to a disturbance with a gun displayed. Suspect left prior to officers' arrival. Investigation continuing.

Central/Disturbance – 1:38am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving numerous subjects. A 22-year-old female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting. A 24-year-old female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting. A 33-year-old male subject was arrested for 4th degree sexual assault and battery. A 19-year-old female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and discharging a fire extinguisher.
Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 11:19am: Officers responded to check the welfare of what appeared to be an intoxicated subject (36-year-old male). The subject was contacted and was impaired. The subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, felony bail jumping, and a probation hold.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 11:57am: A 40-year-old male subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant and a probation violation.
Midtown/Death Investigation – 1:32pm: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (68-year-old male). Lifesaving measures attempted and the subject was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Nothing suspicious identified.
North/Traffic Stop – 3:36pm: A traffic stop was conducted. All three occupants (21-year-old male, 20-year-old male, 21-year-old male) were arrested for possession with intent to deliver THC. The 20-year-old and one of the 21-year-olds were also arrested on probation violations.
North/Traffic Stop – 3:44pm: A traffic stop was conducted. The driver was slow to stop. The driver (33-year-old male) fled, but was apprehended. The passenger (28-year-old female) moved the vehicle before officers approached her. The driver was arrested on a probation warrant and resisting. The passenger was arrested for possession of cocaine.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 8:55pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 19-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic strangulation, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, and felony bail jumping.

Central/Fight Call – 2:06am: Officers responded to a fight in the 300 block of W. Gorham St. A 23-year-old male subject throws an officer into a wall. The subject pulls at an officer's duty belt. Three officers sustained injuries. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting causing soft tissue injury (2 counts), criminal damage to property, attempting a disarm a peace officer, and battery to law enforcement.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 5:51am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 21-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic substantial battery and domestic disorderly conduct while armed.
Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 7:18am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 27-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 10:47am: Officers received numerous calls regarding a 30-year-old female subject causing disturbances at their businesses. The subject was arrested or unlawful trespass after notification.
East/Death Investigation – 11:06am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (88-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
West/Missing Juvenile – 1:36pm: A 15-year-old male juvenile was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases. *Juvenile returned home.
West/Domestic Disturbance – 4:08pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and felony bail jumping (2 counts).
West/Residential Burglary – 5:01pm: Officers received a request to check a residence after a backdoor was found shattered. Perimeter established. Residence was a rental and tenants were on vacation and reported no one should be in the home. Residence cleared. No one located inside. Evidence of a burglary observed. Investigation continuing.
East/Suspicious Person – 5:25pm: Officers responded to a report of a suspicious subject on a bus who approached 3 teenage female subjects and acted inappropriate. Investigation continuing.
North/Missing Adult – 6:39pm: A 23-year-old female subject with cognitive delays was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. Subject was located in another State. The subject made self-harm statements and was conveyed to a local hospital in the other State for an evaluation.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 6:55pm: Officers responded to sounds of a disturbance. A 28-year-old female subject was arrested for outstanding warrants and bail jumping. Probable cause developed to arrest a 33-year-old male subject, who remains at-large.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 9:17pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 37-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
Central/Disturbance – 11:52pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 50-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for attempted battery to law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, and resisting. The subject was also cited for trespassing.
