The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 3/11/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 3/12/2025, MPD received 393 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (69),East (88), Midtown (72), North (49), South (39), West (72), and Other (4). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

East/Missing Juvenile – 10:33am: Two juveniles (11-year-old female and 14-year-old female) were reported missing from their household. The juveniles were found to be with a family member, who agreed to bring the juveniles to the South Police District. Child Protective Services responded. One of the juveniles returned home with their mother, while the other went with another family member. Both juveniles are chronic runaways.
North/Death Investigation – 2:03pm: Officers responded, along with EMS, to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (70-year-old male). Lifesaving measures attempted but were not successful. Nothing suspicious identified.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 3:46pm: A 55-year-old male subject, who was wanted, was located and arrested. The subject was charged with 2nd degree sexual assault.
East/Theft – 4:06pm: Officers responded to a retail theft in progress involving a 27-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for misdemeanor retail theft, obstructing, and 2 counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 4:09pm: A 45-year-old male subject, with an outstanding warrant, was observed. The subject attempted to flee from officers. The subject was apprehended. The subject continued to resist officers. The subject was arrested for resisting, misdemeanor bail jumping, and a probation/parole violation.
East/Death Investigation – 4:56pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (65-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time. Autopsy scheduled.
Central/Disturbance – 11:45pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 31-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.

City-Wide/Non-Residential Burglary – 12:34am: Several subjects accessed a dealership and stole a vehicle. Earlier in the evening an officer attempted to stop a vehicle but the driver/vehicle fled. Officers observed both the vehicle that fled and the stolen vehicle on Hwy 30. Both drivers/vehicles fled. One of the vehicles was located unoccupied. Investigation continuing.
Central/Disturbance – 12:59am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 21-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.
