The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 3/12/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 3/13/2025, MPD received 470 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (81),East (104), Midtown (72), North (89), South (52), West (64), and Other (8). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

South/Stolen Auto – 7:40am: A vehicle was reported stolen from an apartment complex parking lot. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

East/Death Investigation – 7:48am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (90-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.

West/Mental Health Conveyance – 10:48am: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. The subject was transported to Winnebago.

East/Violation of Court Order – 11:10am: Caller reported two violations of an active 72-hour no contact order involving a 54-year-old male subject. Subject not located. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.  *Subject located and arrested.

Central/Sexual Assault - 12:01pm: Officers responded to a report of a sexual assault. A 36-year-old male subject was arrested on a probation hold. Investigation continuing.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 12:59pm: A 34-year-old male subject, with an outstanding warrant, was taken into custody. The subject was also charged with possession of heroin and felony bail jumping.

South/Check Person – 2:03pm: Officers responded to a report of a child attempting to run into traffic. The child was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Emergency detention not supported. The child was released to their parent.

North/Domestic Disturbance – 2:37pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 23-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and domestic battery.

Midtown/Check Person – 5:07pm: Officers responded to a local hospital reference a suicidal subject. The subject was initially consenting to an evaluation but was then wavering. Emergency detention paperwork drafted in case it is necessary. Final outcome pending. *Emergency detention no longer supported. Officers disengaged.

West/Intoxicated Driver – 9:47pm: A traffic stop was conducted. The 47-year-old male driver was found to be impaired. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence and resisting.

East/Missing Adult – 10:53pm: A 43-year-old male subject was reported missing from their group home. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 10:54pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 25-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

South/Adult Arrested Person – 10:58pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 28-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for trespassing and bail jumping.
