The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 3/19/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 3/20/2025, MPD received 402 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (63),East (95), Midtown (61), North (76), South (45), West (51), and Other (11). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

East/Death Investigation – 8:38am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (31-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Evidence of drug use on scene. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 9:14am: Officers came into contact with a 31-year-old male subject reference an investigation from the day before. Probable cause was developed to arrest the subject. The subject resisted officers when they went to arrest him. The subject was arrested on the probable cause and resisting.
East/Stolen Auto – 11:06am: A vehicle was reported stolen. GPS utilized to locate the vehicle. A 40-year-old male subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent and eluding. Numerous traffic citations also issued.
West/Missing Adult – 12:36pm: A suicidal subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Phone ping conducted. The subject was located, taken into protective custody, and transported to detox.
West/Retail Theft – 1:50pm: Officers responded to a retail theft involving a 20-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for felony retail theft and misdemeanor bail jumping.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 3pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 46-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, battery to law enforcement, resisting, 3 bench warrants, and misdemeanor bail jumping (3 counts).
South/Check Person – 3:02pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was contacted, taken into protective custody, and transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Emergency detention sought/approved. Transport to Winnebago completed.
West/Death Investigation – 9:06pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (81-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
Central/Domestic Disturbance – 9:40pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 28-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct. The subject bails out of jail and his behaviors continue. The subject was contacted again and arrested for unlawful use of a telecommunication device with felony enhancer.
Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 11:26pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 27-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct (2 counts).
