The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 03/20/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 03/21/2025, MPD received 448 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (85), East (100), Midtown (65), North (67), South (53), West (67), and Other (11). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Priority calls only from 5:25pm until 8:25pm due to calls for service.

NORTH: Traffic Crash – 8:08 am. Officers responded to the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Ave where the suspect vehicle struck a building. The 25-year-old female driver was cited for failure to maintain control of vehicle.
SOUTH: Animal Abuse – 8:18 am. Officers accompanied public health workers during an inspection of a residence that was the subject of ongoing animal abuse complaints. The 45-year-old female suspect faces charges related to mistreatment of animals.
NORTH: Check Person – 8:45 am. Officers responded to a residence to check the welfare of a man who was reportedly suicidal. The man was voluntarily transported to a hospital.
SOUTH: Theft – 10:51 am. Staff at a clinic reported that the 34-year-old male suspect had stolen electronics from the clinic. The suspect was arrested and charged with theft, bail jumping, possession of burglarious tools, and multiple drug possession charges.
MIDTOWN: Disturbance – 5:00 pm. Officers responded to a residence where the 30-year-old male suspect punched the victim during an argument. The suspect was arrested and charged with domestic battery and resisting arrest.
EAST: Threats Complaint – 7:19 pm. Officers investigated a threats complaint involving several high school students. Officers determined the threat was not credible.

EAST: Disturbance – 12:16 am. Officers responded to the Motel 6 where the 35-year-old male suspect was causing a disturbance. The suspect was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
EAST: Check Person – 3:13 am. Officers responded to Kwik Trip and made contact with a man who reported his friend was in need of medical assistance. Officers contacted the friend who said he was fine and did not need EMS.
