The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 3/21/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 3/24/2025, MPD received 1,262 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (239),East (258), Midtown (189), North (226), South (153), West (166), and Other (31). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 7:52pm to 11:08pm due to calls for service.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 8:59am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 65-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic physical abuse to an elder.

South/Stolen Firearm – 9:23am: A firearm was reported stolen from a vehicle. Investigation continuing.

Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 1:18pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 22-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

East/Intoxicated Driver – 2:15pm: Officers contacted a 42-year-old male driver/subject who was passed out behind the wheel in traffic. The driver was found to be impaired and arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense) and a parole hold. The driver was also cited for impeding traffic.

North/Traffic Incident – 7:20pm: Officers responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash. The driver did not remain on scene. Traffic stop attempted on the suspect vehicle, but the driver fled at a high rate of speed. Vehicle later located unoccupied. Probable cause developed to arrest the suspect, who remains at-large.

West/Check Area – 7:27pm: Officers received a request to check an address after a loud bang was heard and holes were observed in the walls. Contact made with a 24-year-old male subject who admitted his firearm went off unintentionally. Firearm, casing, and projectile collected as evidence. The subject was issued a misdemeanor order-in for endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon.

West/Sexual Assault of a Child – 7:51pm: Officers received a sexual assault of a child report. Child Protective Services notified. Safety plan in place. Investigation continuing.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 7:53pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 38-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

South/Intoxicated Driver – 2:12am: A 42-year-old male subject/driver struck a parked tow truck. Driver sustained minor injuries. Passenger was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries that required stitches. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle causing injury.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 5:56am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 35-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant and new charges for resisting and threats to law enforcement.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 2:36pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 66-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery.

South/Damage to Property – 4:02pm: Officers responded to a report of numerous juveniles damaging items at the property. Officers arrived and observed 7 juveniles walking away. 4 juveniles were detained. Juveniles (14-year-old male, 15-year-old male, 14-year-old male, 15-year-old male) issued restorative justice referrals for trespassing. Additional follow-up necessary. More charges may be forthcoming.

North/Adult Arrested Person – 4:49pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 27-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct (2 counts) and substantial battery.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 6:12pm: A 19-year-old male subject, wanted, was located and taken into custody.

Midtown/Sexual Assault of a Child – 10:29pm: Officers received a report of a sexual assault of a child. Child Protective Services contacted. Investigation continuing.

East/Intoxicated Driver – 10:38pm: Officers responded to a 31-year-old male subject/driver who struck multiple vehicles. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense). The driver reported that he was robbed after he crashed into the vehicles by two male subjects. Investigation continuing.

South/Adult Arrested Person – 12:26am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 34-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for substantial battery, battery, and disorderly conduct.

North/Domestic Disturbance – 5:57am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 46-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

North/Death Investigation – 8:22am: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (77-year-old male). DNR order in place. Subject passed away. Nothing suspicious identified.

South/Mental Health Conveyance – 2:51pm: A subject was voluntarily conveyed to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation/resources. Subject left in the care of medical staff. Officers disengaged.

East/Juvenile Arrest – 4:44pm: A 13-year-old male subject was observed at the mall with a Glock style firearm. The subject was contacted nearby the mall and found to have 2 facsimile firearms on him. The subject was arrested for possession of a firearm/pellet gun under the age of 18. Restorative Justice referral provided.

Midtown/Child Abuse – 5pm: Officers received a child abuse report. Child Protective Services notified. Investigation continuing.

South/Adult Arrested Person – 5:48pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 44-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, domestic disorderly conduct, and a probation/parole hold.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 9:53pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 41-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, disorderly conduct, and a probation hold.

Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 11:39pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 36-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
