The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 3/24/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 3/25/2025, MPD received 416 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (60),East (84), Midtown (80), North (75), South (56), West (56), and Other (5). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 7:21pm to 8:20pm due to calls for service.

West/Stolen Auto – 7:29am: A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 8:30am: Officers responded to a report of an unwanted subject (44-year-old male). The subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Central/Check Person – 8:58am: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital and voluntarily admitted. Officers disengaged.

East/Check Person – 11:17am: A suicidal subject was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. An emergency detention was sought/approved. Placement pending.

North/Check Area – 12:21pm: Officers responded to the 500 block of Northport Drive for reports of shots fired. Casing located. No reported injuries or property damage at this time. Investigation continuing.

North/Disturbance – 12:24pm: Officers responded to a disturbance. A 63-year-old male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct (2 counts), possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor bail jumping, and felony bail jumping (5 counts). A 42-year-old female subject was cited for disorderly conduct.

East/Damage to Property – 3:34pm: Several vehicles at a dealership were reported to have been damaged. Investigation continuing.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 6:12pm: A 30-year-old male subject, with probable cause for his arrest and outstanding warrants, was located and taken into custody. The subject was also charged with failure to comply. A 38-year-old female subject was taken into custody on outstanding warrants.

Central/Disturbance – 6:16pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 59-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.

West/Check Area – 8:42pm: Officers responded to Kessel Court for reports of shots fired. A vehicle was located with bullet holes. Numerous casings located/recovered. An apartment unit was struck numerous times by gunfire. Areas canvassed. No reported injuries at this time. Investigation continuing.

South/Stolen Auto – 9:03pm: A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.
