The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 3/28/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 3/31/2025, MPD received 1,250 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (249),East (277), Midtown (186), North (204), South (119), West (184), and Other (31). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

West/Mental Health Conveyance – 8:50am: Officers responded to a disturbance. A subject was transported to a local hospital where an emergency detention was sought. Final outcome pending. Criminal charges also forthcoming.
Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 10:13am: Officers responded to a retail theft involving a 46-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for felony retail theft, a probation hold, and 4 counts of bail jumping.
South/Runaway Juvenile – 1:07pm: A 13-year-old female subject was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.
West/Disturbance – 2:22pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 38-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting, and threats to law enforcement.
East/Retail Theft – 3:57pm: Officers responded to a retail theft in progress involving a 31-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for misdemeanor retail theft, disorderly conduct, and bail jumping (2 counts).
North/Adult Arrested Person – 4:23pm: Officers responded to a drug-related concern/report. Contact was made with a 55-year-old male subject. The subject refused to a consent to search his vehicle. The subject fled in a vehicle. Subject ultimately surrendered. Search of the vehicle yielded drugs, cash, and numerous phones. The subject was arrested for felon eluding, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver THC, resisting, and a probation hold.
Central/Death Investigation – 4:10pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a 77-year-old male subject. Entry made to the residence. Subject located deceased. Nothing suspicious identified. Medical Examiner's office responded.
South/Disturbance – 4:48pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 40-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for physical abuse to a child and disorderly conduct (2 counts).
East/Disturbance – 5:30pm: Officers responded to a retail theft in progress involving a 44-year-old female subject who then caused a disturbance. The subject was arrested for misdemeanor retail theft and disorderly conduct while armed (3 counts).
East/Disturbance – 6:33pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 46-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 7:42pm: A 27-year-old female subject was arrested for child neglect. The child was released to their father.

Midtown/Homicide – 1:15am: Officers responded to the 700 block of N. Midvale Blvd for a reported stabbing. A victim succumbed to their injuries. A 17-year-old male subject was arrested for 2nd degree domestic reckless homicide. East/Death Investigation – 3:43am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (67-year-old female). Decedent on hospice care. Nothing suspicious identified.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 4:59am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 38-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery (2 counts) and domestic strangulation.
Midtown/Disturbance – 9:08am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 26-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for abuse to an elder and obstructing.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 12:35pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 53-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and disorderly conduct.
Midtown/Death Investigation – 12:44pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (59-year-old male). Death self-inflicted. Nothing suspicious identified.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 7:15pm: A 45-year-old male subject, wanted, was observed by officers. The subject attempted to flee but was apprehended. The subject was arrested for felony bail jumping (2 counts) and threats to law enforcement.
East/Strong Armed Robbery – 7:26pm: Caller reported being robbed and assaulted by several subjects. Three subjects contacted and arrested. A 34-year-old male subject was charged with strong armed robbery and simple battery. A 34-year-old male subject was arrested for strong armed robbery, simple battery, disorderly conduct, and misdemeanor bail jumping. A 22-year-old male subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Central/Residential Burglary – 8:26pm: Cash and property were reported missing/stolen from a fraternity. Investigation continuing.
West/Mental Health Conveyance – 9:02pm: Officers responded to a report of a subject who caused themselves self-harm. Officers provided medical care. The subject was transported to a local hospital where they had surgery for their injuries. Final outcome pending.

East/Intoxicated Driver – 1:13am: Officers responded to a report of a vehicle that rolled over. The driver (34-year-old female) was found to be impaired. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.
East/Intoxicated Driver – 2:20am: A driver/vehicle was observed driving erratically and crashing into a high voltage electrical pole. The driver (37-year-old male) was found to be impaired and arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. The passenger (29-year-old male subject) was combative with officers and arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 2:28am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 38-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, domestic battery, and domestic strangulation.
Central/Sexual Assault – 3:22am: A 20-year-old male subject was arrested for 4th degree sexual assault (2 counts) and disorderly conduct.
Midtown/Non-Residential Burglary – 12:57pm: A business reported merchandise missing/stolen. Investigation continuing.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 1:12pm: A 29-year-old male subject was present at an address they were banned from. The subject was arrested for trespassing.
West/Stolen Auto – 2:10pm: A vehicle was reported stolen. The vehicle was located by officers. A 13-year-old male subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent.
West/Adult Arrested Person – 2:58pm: A 26-year-old male subject was arrested for felony retail theft.
East/Crash – 3:05pm: Officers responded to a hit-and-run vehicle vs. pedestrian crash. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver (41-year-old female) was identified and contacted. The subject was arrested for hit-and-run causing injury and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. North/Mental Health Conveyance – 4:54pm: A subject was taken into protective custody and transported to a local hospital. An emergency detention is being sought. Final outcome pending. *Subject transported to Winnebago.
North/Disturbance – 5:34pm: Officers responded to a hit-and-run crash where a firearm was displayed. Probable cause developed to arrest a 52-year-old male subject, who remains at-large.
Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 6:18pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving two subjects. A 31-year-old male subject was arrested for domestic battery and disorderly conduct. Probable cause developed to arrest a 22-year-old female subject, who remains at-large.
East/Check Person – 8:49pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. Subject contacted and transported to a local hospital where an emergency detention was sought/approved. Local placement identified.
