The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 4/7/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 4/8/2025, MPD received 462 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (64),East (118), Midtown (82), North (72), South (45), West (72), and Other (9). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 10:47pm to 2am due to calls for service.
East/Death Investigation – 7:09am: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (57-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 9:34am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 50-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 11:26am: Officers investigated a disturbance involving a 50-year-old male subject (not on scene). Attempts to locate the subject were unsuccessful. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
East/Residential Burglary – 3:24pm: Officers responded to a residential burglary involving a 26-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for burglary, criminal damage to property, and felony bail jumping.
Midtown/Check Person – 5:29pm: A subject was evaluated for a Chapter 51. Emergency detention sought/approved. The subject was transported to Winnebago.
North/Check Person – 5:30pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was contacted and transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Final outcome pending. *Emergency detention sought/approved. The subject was transported to Winnebago.
North/Check Area – 5:54pm: Officers responded to a report of a juvenile with a gun. Areas checked. Subject not located. Witnesses contacted. Investigation continuing.
North/Battery – 9:48pm: Officers responded to a report of a battery. A victim was located unconscious with critical injuries. Other subjects on scene not helpful to officers. The subject was transported to a local hospital and underwent surgery. Investigation continuing.
East/Residential Burglary – 10:22pm: Officers responded to a residential burglary that had occurred while the homeowners were on vacation. Damage done to the home. Items missing/stolen. A warrant was served on a 36-year-old male subject's residence by another law enforcement agency. Items from this incident located/recovered at the subject's home. The subject was arrested on charges from the other agency. Additional charges forthcoming.

North/Check Area – 3:10am: Officers hears shots fired in the area of Commercial Ave/Stang St. Areas canvassed. No injuries, property damage, or evidence of shots fired located at this time.
