The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 4/9/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 4/10/2025, MPD received 403 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (73),East (95), Midtown (61), North (78), South (36), West (50), and Other (10). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

East/Disturbance – 7:12am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a male subject with a knife. Victim sustained injuries but refused medical aid. Investigation continuing.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 7:35am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 47-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
East/Death Investigation – 7:39am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (22-year-old male subject). Death self-inflicted. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
East/Sexual Assault of a Child – 9:56am: A 22-year-old male subject was arrested for 1st degree sexual assault and an outstanding warrant from Las Vegas Metro PD (possession of child pornography).
East/Domestic Disturbance – 10:45am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 49-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic criminal damage to property.
Midtown/Check Person – 11:19am: Officers received a request to take a subject into protective custody. The subject was placed at a local facility and officers disengaged.
North/Death Investigation – 1:38pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (29-year-old female). Decedent had a history of medical/health concerns. Nothing suspicious identified.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 5:22pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a wanted subject (44-year-old male). The subject was arrested on his outstanding warrants and new charges of disorderly conduct, domestic disorderly conduct, domestic battery, and resisting.
Midtown/Disturbance – 5:26pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 60-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct, and strangulation.
West/Domestic Disturbance – 11:23pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 23-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and domestic criminal damage to property.

North/Check Area – 12:08am: Officers responded to numerous reports of shots fired (Northwestern Ave/Huxley St). No evidence of shots fired located at this time.
South/Disturbance – 1:08am: Officers responded to a report of a male and female subject fighting on the sidewalk. A female subject was contacted but denied being involved in any disturbance. A male subject was observed running from a nearby lot, getting into a vehicle, and leaving the area. This subject remains at-large. A stolen handgun was located/recovered from where the male subject had been running from. Investigation continuing.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 1:46am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 40-year-old male subject. The subject attempted to flee from officers on foot. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, false imprisonment, intimidation of a victim, and disorderly conduct.
