The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 4/14/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 4/15/2025, MPD received 483 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (79),East (101), Midtown (87), North (88), South (46), West (69), and Other (13). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 5:25pm to 5:52pm due to calls for service.
North/Disturbance – 4:59am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 15-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting, and attempted battery to police officer. The subject was transported to the Juvenile Reception Center.
Central/Retail Theft – 8:15am: Officers responded to a business for a retail theft involving a 29-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for retail theft and misdemeanor bail jumping (2 counts).
North/Domestic Disturbance – 8:32am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 35-year-old male. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
South/Death Investigation – 8:52am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (70-year-old male). Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns. Evidence of drug use on scene. Nothing suspicious identified.
Midtown/Disturbance – 12:15pm: A subject flagged down officers to report an unknown male subject pulled a gun on them in the parking lot. Investigation continuing.
East/Sexual Assault – 2:03pm: Officers responded to a report of a sexual assault. Investigation continuing. *The reporting party in this incident had an outstanding drug warrant. They were booked into the jail on the warrant.
Central/Disturbance – 3:05pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic strangulation, domestic disorderly conduct, and domestic battery.
Midtown/Child Abuse – 3:12pm: Officers responded to a local hospital for a report of possible child abuse. Child Protective Services plugged in. Investigation continuing.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 6:59pm: EMS dispatched to a report of a 34-year-old male subject asleep on a bus stop bench. The subject also caused a disturbance with the bus company's staff. Officers made contact with the subject, who became uncooperative and resistive. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting, and trespassing.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 7:23pm: A 24-year-old male subject, with outstanding warrants, was located and taken into custody after the subject/vehicle fled and the subject fled on foot. Cash, drugs, drug packaging materials, and 2 phones recovered. Charges – eluding, resisting, possession with intent to deliver THC, felony bail jumping (2 counts), and reckless driving.
North/Child Abuse – 7:59pm: Additional follow-up was conducted on this case that led to the arrest of a 30-year-old female subject for physical abuse to a child. 4 children were placed by Child Protective Services.
Midtown/Missing Adult – 8:24pm: A 60-year-old male subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. Phone ping attempted. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.
South/Runaway Juvenile – 8:42pm: A 13-year-old female subject was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The subject was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.
Central/Check Person – 9:02pm: Officers came into contact with an intoxicated elderly subject who could not really answer any of the officers' questions. The subject was identified and found to be listed as missing/endangered out of Milwaukee. Milwaukee PD contacted. The subject was found to have walked away from their group home and boarded a bus to Madison. Officers remained with the subject until the group home arrived to take him back home.
Midtown/Mental Health Conveyance – 9:24pm: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. Paperwork completed. The subject was left in the care of medical staff and officers disengaged.
South/Missing Adult – 11:19pm: A 20-year-old female subject was listed as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.
4/15
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 2:09am: Officers were alerted to a suspicious person (25-year-old male) following another subject. The subject was contacted and made an excited utterance of "I wasn't following anyone." The subject was ultimately arrested and transported to jail on a disorderly conduct charge.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 3:08am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 35-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, domestic false imprisonment, and a parole hold.
