The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 4/15/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 4/16/2025, MPD received 470 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (66),East (108), Midtown (104), North (67), South (45), West (69), and Other (11). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 5:31pm to 6:29pm due to calls for service.
North/Assist Law Enforcement – 7:10am: Racine County Sheriff's Office requested MPD's assistance with locating/contacting a 30-year-old male subject they are investigating for child pornography. Officers obtained additional information that the subject was suicidal and armed. Friends of the subject were on scene and assisted with securing the firearm and getting the subject to turn himself in peacefully. The subject was transported to a local hospital for an emergency detention evaluation. Final outcome pending.
East/Stolen Auto – 8:24am: A vehicle was reported stolen from a residential driveway. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.
Midtown/Non-Residential Burglary – 8:31am: Officers responded to a business for a burglary that occurred overnight. Forced entry was identified. Merchandise missing/stolen. Investigation continuing.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 10:09am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving an 18-year-old female subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject for domestic battery.
South/Domestic Disturbance – 3:23pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 28-year-old female subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
West/Check Person – 4:19pm: Subject, with a Chapter 51 return, was transported to a local hospital for a medical clearance. Subject placed at a local facility.
South/Check Person – 5:08pm: Officers responded to a report of a suicidal subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Emergency detention not supported. Subject released to family with a safety plan.
South/Intoxicated Driver – 7:23pm: Officers responded to a crash involving. The driver (34-year-old male subject) was determined to be impaired. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense), possession of cocaine, and an outstanding warrant.
South/Damage to Property – 9:23pm: Officers responded to a report of two subjects attempting to get into a vehicle in a dealership lot. Subjects not on scene when officers arrived. Damage located on the vehicle. Investigation continuing.
East/Check Person – 9:59pm: Officers responded to a report of a suicidal subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Subject voluntarily seeking services. Officers disengaged.

East/Stolen Auto – 3:05am: A vehicle was reported stolen from a business parking lot. The vehicle was left unlocked, unoccupied, and running. A 39-year-old female subject called 911 after the vehicle became disabled and ran out of gas in Rock County. The subject was taken into custody for operating a motor vehicle without consent.
