The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 4/18/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 4/21/2025, MPD received 1,215 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (268),East (252), Midtown (198), North (189), South (125), West (147), and Other (36). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Central/Missing Adult – 5:29am: A 21-year-old male subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 11:27am: A 65-year-old female subject was taken into custody for disorderly conduct from an incident that occurred earlier in the week.  

East/Disturbance – 3:18pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 53-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.

East/Death Investigation – 4:44pm: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (59-year-old male). Lifesaving measures attempted but they were not successful. Medical Examiner's office responded. Evidence of drug use observed. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.

West/Adult Arrested Person – 5:01pm: Officers received location information for a 37-year-old male subject with an outstanding warrant. Officers arrived on scene and the subject attempted to flee on foot. The subject was apprehended and subsequently arrested for possession of narcotics, resisting, and several warrants.

Midtown/Check Person – 6pm: A subject requested mental health services at a local hospital. The subject attempted to leave the hospital against medical advice. The subject was contacted by officers. The subject expressed being suicidal. Mental health evaluation pending. Final outcome pending.

West/Domestic Disturbance – 8:23pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 33-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery.  

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 8:56pm: Officers made contact with two vehicles/6 subjects trespassing in a gravel pit lot.  A 22-year-old female subject was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon. All other subjects were released with trespassing citations.

East/Stolen Auto – 11:43pm: A box truck was reported stolen. The truck was able to be electronically tracked. Truck observed and officers conducted a traffic stop. A 27-year-old male subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent, burglary, and felony bail jumping (2 counts).

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 1:03am: Officers observed a wanted subject (18-year-old male). Contact made with the subject who then attempted to flee and resisted officers. The subject was arrested for resisting, carrying a concealed weapon, bail jumping, and a probation hold.

East/Disturbance – 4:39am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 58-year-old male (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.

Midtown/Stolen Auto – 7:51am: A vehicle was reported stolen from a parking lot. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

Midtown/Missing Adult – 5:21pm: A 31-year-old female subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.

East/Juvenile Arrest – 5:47pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 13-year-old female subject. The subject was transported to the Juvenile Reception Center on a JIPS petition.

North/Armed Robbery – 7:54pm: Officers responded to a report of subjects with guns displayed. Investigation leads to a reported armed robbery involving two subjects. A 23-year-old male subject was arrested for armed robbery and attempted burglary. A 14-year-old male subject was arrested for armed robbery (party to a crime) and attempted burglary (party to a crime). No guns were located/recovered.

South/Intoxicated Driver – 10:05pm: Officers responded to a reckless driver/crash involving a 30-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense).

South/Substantial Battery – 10:47pm: Officers responded to reports of multiple subjects outside fighting. Officers arrived in the area and observed people fleeing. A 20-year-old male subject was arrested for domestic substantial battery.

North/Battery – 7:15am: Officers responded to a report of a battery that occurred overnight. Investigation continuing.

Midtown/Crash – 8:23am: Officers responded to a rollover crash. A 31-year-old male driver failed to stop for a red light and was struck by another driver/vehicle, causing his own vehicle to roll. The driver and passenger from the rolled vehicle were transported to a local hospital for evaluations. The occupants in the other vehicle were not injured. The driver was cited for red signal violation, operating after revocation, no insurance, and non-registration of vehicle. Probation/parole also issued a warrant for the driver's arrest.  

East/Residential Burglary – 12:33pm: An unknown subject stole a victim's vehicle and personal items from their home. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases. Investigation continuing.

Central/Child Abuse – 2:17pm: Officers responded to a report of a 17-year-old male subject strangling a female subject (minor). Male subject not on scene when officers arrived. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large. Child Protective Services notified.

West/Mental Health Conveyance – 5:13pm: Officers responded to a local facility for a minor subject causing a disturbance. Emergency detention sought/approved. The subject was conveyed to Winnebago after a medical clearance.

Midtown/Check Person – 7:20pm: Officers responded to a report of a subject who attempted to commit suicide. The subject was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.  

Midtown/Drug Incident – 9:50pm: A 30-year-old male subject used ketamine, fell over, and became unresponsive. The subject was transported to a local hospital. The subject was issued a felony order-in for possession of ketamine.
