The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 4/23/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 4/24/2025, MPD received 505 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (110),East (100), Midtown (80), North (93), South (47), West (61), and Other (14). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 1:34am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 41-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and possession of cocaine.
Central/Disturbance – 5:45am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 20-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed, resisting, and felony bail jumping (2 counts).
North/Non-Residential Burglary – 5:45am: Officers responded to property damage and a light flashing inside of a business. Business cleared – no subjects located. Investigation continuing.
Midtown/Mental Health Conveyance – 2:20pm: A Chapter 51 return is in the works reference a subject. Final outcome/placement pending.
North/Sexual Assault of a Child – 2:52pm: A victim reported being sexually assaulted by a known acquaintance/subject. Investigation continuing.
Central/Mental Health Conveyance – 4:56pm: A Chapter 51 return is in the works reference a subject. Subject at a local hospital waiting for a medical clearance. Final outcome/placement pending.
Central/Disturbance – 8:55pm: Officers were notified of a 25-year-old male subject assaulting people in the 500 block of State Street. Officers observed the subject and ordered him to stop. The subject fled on foot. The subject was apprehended. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting, misdemeanor bail jumping. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 10:10pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 34-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
West/Adult Arrested Person – 11:38pm: A 27-year-old male subject, with outstanding probable cause, was taken into custody after he fled in a vehicle and crashed. The subject was arrested on domestic charges and 5 outstanding charges.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 1:06am: A traffic stop was conducted involving a 19-year-old male subject/driver. The subject got out of the vehicle, grabbed a backpack, and fled on foot. The subject was apprehended. The subject was arrested for resisting and a probation hold.
