Shingle Disposal Options

Shingles are banned from the Dane County Landfill. For that reason, we can no longer accept shingles at our drop off sites. We will also no longer collect shingles at the curb.

Individuals can take small loads of shingles to the Dane County Landfill 7102 US Highway 12, across from the Yahara Golf Course. Individual residents ONLY may continue to dispose of shingles in a separate area at the landfill. However, the load cannot contain ANY materials other than shingles, nails, and tarpaper.

Shingle Recycling Companies

All of the following firms charge fees and have specific requirements for what they will and will not accept.  Residents are advised to call before going to these sites to dispose of shingles.
