City of
Madison Improving Housing, Jobs and Services for the Neighborhoods of Madison. |
|
The Community Development (CDBG) Office is the public investment unit within the Community Development Division, part of the City's Department of Planning and Community & Economic Development that works with community-based non-profit organizations to improve the quality of life for Madison's low- and moderate-income people and neighborhoods.
A CDBG Committee establishes overall policy and makes funding recommendations to the Mayor and the Common Council for a range of Federal, State, local resources available for community and neighborhood development activities. We work with a number of partners — suppliers and customers, residents and neighborhoods — and have attempted to organize this website to provide a range of information regarding our longer range goals, our resources, and our investments in the community. We welcome your interest, your ideas about emerging opportunities and innovative projects, and your suggestions for improvement in programs. |
