Home Fire Displaces Six, None Injured
Six people were displaced from their home following a fire Thursday afternoon.
Neighbors called 911 reporting a condo on fire on the 500 block of Troy Drive. Evacuation of the building was in progress as Engine Co. 10 arrived on scene. Smoke-stained glass and cracked windows were telling signs of the fire inside. Firefighters gained entry, immediately located the fire, and the fire was quickly extinguished.
Thorough searches of the property by Engine Co. 3 and Engine Co. 10 confirmed nobody was inside the condo at the time. The homeowner was notified of the fire and returned home. The American Red Cross provided assistance to the family.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
