13th Annual 'Never Forget' Blood Drive
Event Description
Madison Fire and Madison Police team up to host a blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross. This blood drive is held in remembrance and tribute to the lives lost on 9/11/01. Register to donate.
All donors will receive a Red Cross raglan shirt, while supplies last. Plus, the first 140 donors will receive a custom "Never Forget" blood drive 40 oz. travel mug, thanks to the generosity of the Madison Community Policing Foundation and Fire Fighters Local 311 Charities.
Together, we hope to collect over 130 donations! All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients.
A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
