Door Creek Park - Public Input Meeting
A new park shelter is coming to Door Creek Park!
The Parks and Engineering Divisions are starting the design process for a new multi-season shelter at Door Creek Park. The adopted Door Creek Park Master Plan identifies a shelter building adjacent to the existing parking lot and playground as a desired park amenity. In 2020, the city hired Aro Eberle Architects to lead a multi-disciplinary team to design the new facility and associated site improvements.
The project's first public meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. The design team will introduce the project and review existing conditions, site opportunities and constraints, and the current building program. The intent is to gather initial input from park users and area residents and use this information to develop shelter options for review during subsequent neighborhood meetings. In addition to the consultant team presentation, Parks and Engineering staff will be available for questions regarding the project.
