Trash

Put your trash in the tan cart. We collect trash every week. See the trash guidelines for more details.

Recycling

Put your recycling in the green cart. We collect recycling every other week.

Recycling is required in Madison. Do not put recyclable items in the trash.  See the recycling guidelines for more details.

Large Items

Large items (like mattresses, appliances, and furniture) require a work order. 

Set the items out on the date you pick in your work order. Collection happens during the work week following your set-out Sunday.

Holidays

We do not perform collections on City holidays. Our drop-off sites and offices are also closed.
