Meeting and Event Highlights for the Week of June 22, 2024

It also includes a directory to access information for each agency (Department/Division) in the City, including mission statement, agency contacts, and links to each agency's webpage.
Boards, Commissions, and Committee Meetings
Note: This is not a complete list of meetings for this upcoming week. All meetings and their details can be found on the Meeting Schedule page.
- Finance Committee: The Finance Committee meeting will take place on Monday, July 22, 2024, in virtual format at 4:30 PM. Agenda items include authorizing the scheduling of a referendum relating to exceeding the municipal property tax limits in the City of Madison.
- In-Person Public Information Meeting (Hill Valley Neighborhood) - Veridian Homes and the City of Madison have scheduled a Neighborhood Meeting to discuss the development plans for the Hill Valley Neighborhood, a 211-acre property located between Pleasant View Road and South High Point Road. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM in person at Blackhawk Church, 9620 Brader Way, Middleton, WI 53562.
- Board of Public Works: The Board of Public Works meeting will take place on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, in virtual format at 4:30 PM. Agenda items include awarding a Public Works contract to complete the Warner Park Community Recreation Center expansion project.

- Public Safety Summit - Tuesday, July 23, 2024: Madison Police Department staff and other community leaders are hosting a Public Safety Summit. The summit's goal is to understand current safety trends in our city and the strategies employed to prevent crime. Panelists will discuss opportunities for collaboration to enhance safety in Madison.
- Last day to register to vote online or via mail - Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
- Live at The Glen: DJ Pain 1 - Friday, July 26, 2024: Madison Parks Foundation proudly presents Live at The Glen! Enjoy live music on the patio at The Glen Golf Park.
- Movie in the Park - Saturday, July 2, 2024: Join Downtown Madison's Business Improvement District (BID) and Madison Parks for a free movie in Peace Park!

- MPD drug diversion program earns national grant: A Madison Police Department program, which diverts people who use drugs from the criminal justice system to treatment, has received a grant to continue its outreach efforts.
- Mayor Rhodes-Conway Announces 5-Year+ Plan to Balance Budget, Avoid Service Cuts: Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway outlined a strategic long-term financial blueprint that would carry the City through the next 5 years.
- Madison Parks Foundation celebrates 130 Years of Madison Parks with the Launch of a $10 Million Parks For All Campaign: This July, the Madison Parks Foundation and Madison Parks will celebrate the 130-year anniversary of the Madison Park and Pleasure Drive Association (MPPDA) that was responsible for forming the Madison Parks System that we know and love today.
