  • "Ask Me Anything" Event on the City Budget, Wednesday, September 11, 2024The City of Madison is hosting an “Ask Me Anything” virtual public meeting on the 2025 budget and funding referendum on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Madison Finance Director Dave Schmiedicke and staff from the Mayor’s Office will answer questions about the City budget.

Boards, Commissions, and Committee Meetings

  • Plan Commission: The Plan Commission meeting will take place on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 5:30 PM in virtual format. Agenda items include development related requests in Districts 2, 3, 6, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, and 18.
  • Common Council: The Common Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 6:30 PM in hybrid format. Agenda items include adopting the West Area Plan, adopting the Northeast Area Plan, and allowing affordable student housing to exceed the maximum number of stories downtown.
  • Board of Public Works: The Board of Public Works meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 4:30 PM in virtual format. Agenda items include establishing the Pumpkin Hollow Neighborhood Sanitary Sewer Improvement Impact Fee, as well as establishing soil infiltration design standards.
  • Board of Park Commissioners: The Board of Park Commissioners meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 6:30 PM in virtual format. Agenda items include approval of a report establishing archaeological review and investigation process for park development projects at Vilas Park, as well as a number of 2025 fees.
