Situation at Abundant Life Christian School
postedHi everyone, I'm writing with a few updates about the heartbreaking situation at Abundant Life Christian School in southeast Madison (Buckeye Road) this morning.
This is from the latest update (at 1:02pm) on Madison Police Department's Incident Report:
"The Madison Police Department is investigating a shooting at Abundant Life Christian School. Multiple injuries have been reported. This remains an active and ongoing investigation. More information will be released as it is available.
We currently need people to avoid the area. Roads will be blocked off along 4900 Buckeye Road. Drivers and community members are asked to find alternate routes in travel is needed in this area."
Alder Jael Currie recently shared this statement in her recent blog post to constituents:
"My heart goes out to the Abundant Life Christian School community in the light of this tragedy. Currently, it is important for residents to avoid going near the area that surrounds Abundant Life Christian School, since it is still considered an active scene."
Family members should go to SSM clinic at 1821 S Stoughton Rd First Floor, Madison, WI 53716. If you know any Abundant Life families, please consider sharing this with them.
