  • Common Council: The Common Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, July 2, in virtual format at 6:30 p.m. Agenda items include creating registration and enforcement systems for Native Tall Grass Lawn Areas and refining other lawn maintenance provisions within the Section, adopting the 2025 Common Council meeting dates, and approving the Large Item Collection and Electronic Waste Recycling policy.

Annual July 4th Celebration in Westmorland Park
  • 83rd Annual July 4th Celebration in Westmorland Park: Thursday, July 4th 9:30 am to 2:00 pm. Neighborhood co-sponsors: Westmorland, Midvale Heights, and Sunset Village. Parade begins  at 10:30 am from the Queen of Peace Parking lot.  11:00 am Flag raising near the park shelter by local Scout Troop. 11:15 am Live music by Waunakee Big Band.
  • University Hill Farms 4th of July Celebration Picnic & Parade:  Kids and Family Parade! Registration starting at 9:30am, parade at 10:00am. Free food and beverages! Children’s games! Water balloon and egg toss!  The Fourth of July Parade is primarily for children, but all ages are welcome to enter the parade as well as to watch from the sidelines. Most participants ride bikes, but most any other mode of getting from Juneau Road to Rennebohm Park, including walking, is welcome. Many bike riders decorate their bikes, but undecorated bikes are just as welcome. Motorized vehicles are discouraged unless decorated as a float. A small American flag will be given to each person who registers.
  • Capitol City Band Concert in the Park 4th of July Tribute to the Troops -Then and Now July 4th at 6:30 to 8:00 pm in Rennebohm Park. Jim Latimer, conductor and featuring the Black Knights Color Guard and Auxiliary.  Free concerts in the park with toe-tapping familiar music for all ages and all cultures.   • Summer Nights at Segoe : Friday, July 5th The Midvale Heights Community Association sponsors four concerts, in Segoe Park, on Friday evenings from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm.  Performing on July 5th will be Gin, Chocolate & Bottle Rockets (Pop, Rock, and powerhouse harmonies!)
