In-person

Völker Development is proposing to redevelop the properties located at 3222, 3230 & 3238 E. Washington Avenue and 3229 Ridgeway Avenue. The existing structures would be demolished, and a new, five-story multifamily building with approximately 90 units would be constructed.

The new building would be comprised of approximately 36 one-, 36 two- and 18 three-bedroom units. Parking plans include approximately 119 automobile stalls and 111 bike stalls. The proposal is a Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) affordable housing project.

A neighborhood meeting to hear more about this proposal is scheduled for Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 6pm at Hawthorne Library, 2707 E. Washington Avenue. After the development team’s presentation, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.

Staff from the Madison planning and  traffic engineering department will be in attendance to answer questions and hear concerns.
