HR Report On Our Workforce and Potential Cuts

posted

A few council meetings ago our Director of Human Resources, Erin Hillson, gave us a report on City Staffing. In order to account for the strucural deficit we've faced since 2011 we've held positions opened to help cover the gap. Since then we've continued to do so. This is a snapshot of how our staff are functioning with a greater workload and the potetnial of deeper cuts that we'll have to do if a referendum is not approved by the city population.

I say this all the time, but I want you all to realize that I don't see dollars when I think about our deficit. I see people. The staff that dedicate their energies and time that they give to server. I see the property owners that are struggling just to make it. Those who are on fixed incomes and those who are most vulnerable in our community. This breaks it down.
