Boards, Commissions, and Committee Meetings

Note: This is not a complete list of meetings for this upcoming week. All meetings and their details can be found at the Meeting Schedule page.

  • Common Council: The Common Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, December 10, at 6:30 p.m. in hybrid format. Agenda items include removing the paid parking pilot.
  • Transportation Commission: The Transportation Commission meeting will take place on Wednesday, December 11, at 5:00 p.m. in virtual format. Agenda items include expanding a safety education program.
  • Board of Park Commissioners: The Board of Park Commissioners meeting will take place on Wednesday, December 11, at 6:30 p.m. in virtual format. Agenda items include allowing the Urban Canid Project to continue.

  • D7 Lunch and Learn featuring the Streets Division, Thursday, December 12: Join Alder Nasra Wehelie on Thursday, December 12, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. for a virtual Lunch and Learn that will provide information on the City of Madison's winter services and what folks should think about as we enter the snow season. Streets Division Superintendent Charlie Romines will be the special guest for the December Lunch and Learn.
  • Homebuyer Education Workshop, Saturday, December 14: Take the first step to owning a home and join us in this Home Buyer Education Workshop. This FREE Homebuyer Education workshop takes place in-person at the Atrium Villager Mall (2300 S Park St, Madison, WI) on Saturday, December 14 from 8:30am-3:30pm! Lunch will be provided.
  • Conservation Volunteer Workday | Shift A, Saturday, December 14: Join us for a meaningful day of conservation efforts as we work together to protect and enhance our local conservation park! Your participation is crucial in safeguarding the biodiversity and natural habitats that make our park a haven for wildlife and a treasure for our community.
  • Conservation Volunteer Workday | Shift B, Saturday, December 14: Join us for a meaningful day of conservation efforts as we work together to protect and enhance our local conservation park! Your participation is crucial in safeguarding the biodiversity and natural habitats that make our park a haven for wildlife and a treasure for our community.
  • Bird & Nature Adventures | Owen, Saturday, December 1: Explore Owen Conservation Park on gentle trails through historic oak openings on a hillside with an Ice Age kettle and along restored prairies with beautiful vistas on this high point overlooking the west side of Madison. Co-sponsored by Madison Parks, Badgerland Bird Alliance, Madison Audubon Society,  and the Friends of Owen Conservation Park . Free, family-friendly guided nature walks at Owen Conservation Park are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month, year-round 2:30-4pm. No registration is required. No pets are allowed.
  • Bird & Nature Adventures | Warner Park, Sunday, December 15: Walks at Warner Park held on the 3rd Sunday of every month are co-sponsored by Madison Bird City FUN partners Wild Warner  and Madison Audubon . Meet at the colorful Warner Park shelter by the lagoon. Parking is available nearby. No registration is required. No pets are allowed.
