A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Community's Food Pantries

Dear Constituent and Residents of Madison,

I hope this message finds you well. Today, I had the honor of attending a press conference at the Capitol, hosted by WayForward, alongside representatives from various food pantries, including our very own River Food Pantry. The event was a significant reminder of the critical role these organizations play in our community, especially during these challenging times.

As an elected official, it was inspiring to see the collective efforts of so many dedicated individuals working towards a common goal of alleviating food insecurity. However, this issue is also deeply personal to me. When my family and I lived on Fisher Street, we often relied on the food pantry around the corner. I was always amazed at how they managed to feed so many families, including my own household of seven people.

Reflecting on those times, I am filled with immense gratitude for the food pantries and their volunteers who work tirelessly to support families in need. Their dedication and hard work make a real difference, especially now, as many are facing the pressures of inflation and high taxes.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in these efforts. To the volunteers and staff who give their time and energy, and to the generous donors who support these vital services – thank you. Your contributions are not just acts of charity; they are lifelines that sustain our community.

Let us continue to support and uplift one another. Together, we can ensure that no family in Madison goes hungry.

Warm regards,

Charles Myadze
