Road Closure & Knutson Drive Reconstruction – A Major Step Forward for Our Community

The reconstruction of Knutson Drive is a highly anticipated project that will bring significant improvements to our district. As part of this work, Knutson Drive is currently closed to through traffic while construction is underway. This project includes a full street redesign with new curb and gutter, sidewalk, and driveway aprons, ensuring safer and more accessible streets for pedestrians and drivers alike. The outdated asphalt pavement and gravel base are being replaced, while stormwater features will be added to help manage surface water runoff and improve drainage.

In addition, the City is planning to resurface Green Avenue (Harper Road to Sauthoff Road) later this year. This includes replacing the asphalt pavement and targeted curb, gutter, and sidewalk repairs. A new sanitary sewer main will also be installed along the Troy Drive/Green Avenue curve to relieve pressure on the existing system.

I appreciate the patience of our residents as this much-needed work progresses. Please plan for detours and allow extra travel time while Knutson Drive remains closed.
