  • Results of the Recount for the District 19 Aldermanic Race : The City of Madison Board of Canvassers conducted a recount of the votes cast for the office of Alder in District 19 during the April 1 Spring Election. [posted April 10, 2025] I look forward to representing District 19 for the next two years.
  • Board of Public Works Agenda Items for District 19: See the link below to the Board of Public Works agenda for April 16. There are two items of interest for District 19 residents.
    • Public improvements related to the Stone House Development Project on Old Sauk Rd: Developments approved under a conditional use permit often involve developer obligations to construct public improvements such as sidewalks, curbs, lighting, etc. The specific obligations are memorialized in a contract between the City and the developer. Agenda item 10 involves approval of detailed plans and specifications that the developer would be required to complete at its expense, if and when the project moves forward. (It is currently the subject of litigation).
    • Approval of award for 2025 street chip sealing: Each year the City designates certain streets and bike paths for reconstruction and resurfacing, pursuant to a current year capital budget and a five year capital plan. Item 24 involves approving the contract award for 2025 chip-sealing in three districts including Tomahawk Trail, Flambeau Rd, and part of Merrill Springs Rd in District 19. While projects after the current year are tentative until approved in the capital budget for that year, the latest “Transportation Improvement Plan Map” displays the likely projects for 2026-2030.
