Downtown Budget Engagement Meeting | Thursday, May 30, 2024 - 6:00 p.m.

An opportunity to discuss the budget, learn more about the services the City provides, and share your thoughts with elected officials.

This interactive session will discuss the 2025 City budget outlook.

At this event you will:

  1. Learn about the challenges facing the City budget, how we got here, and what we can do about it.
  2. Find out more about where your tax dollars go and the services the City provides.
  3. Participate in small group discussions with your neighbors and alders to share your thoughts and provide feedback about City services, your vision for Madison, and what you would like the alders to consider as they evaluate their options for the 2025 budget.

You have two options for attending the event:

  • Attend the event in person at the Madison Municipal Building, Room 215, 215 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard
  • Join the event virtually using your computer, smartphone or tablet, or you can listen in via telephone. You will receive login information after registering at www.cityofmadison.com/budgetengagement-downtown.

If possible, please register for the event at www.cityofmadison.com/budgetengagement-downtown. Registration is strongly encouraged. Refreshments will be provided, and it will be helpful to know how many to plan for.

After you register, we will send you information about the agenda for the evening, videos and resources on the City budget, and ways you can reach us before and after the event.

If you have questions about either event, please contact the Office of the Common Council at council@cityofmadison.com or (608) 266-4071.
