Alexandra Andros, AICP, Director & Transportation Manager:
I wanted to share the good news that our application for SS4A funding was successful. This will allow the Greater Madison MPO to support the development of local agency safety action plans and supplemental planning activities to achieve our goal of zero roadway fatalities and serious injuries by 2040.
The Greater Madison Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) has been awarded $1 million in federal funding through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program, part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, to enhance safety for drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians throughout Dane County.

NOTE:
I apologize for the lengthy post, but much has transpired this week and likely in the weeks ahead. It has been my policy to use the District Blog for only District business. I posted my personal views on NextDoor and have received both positive and negative comments. I speak my truth and "My Why" is to vocalize my position on a certain issue. I am committed to follow a certain path. I decided NOT to publish my personal views surrounding the "Sanction against Alder Myadze" on the District 20 blog. District 20 Resident(s): I invite you to schedule an appointment with me to discuss in detail any concerns you may have related to my position as the elected Alder of District 20.
