Public Meeting: Top of State Street Plaza Redesign
postedThe City of Madison Planning Division is hosting a public meeting to plan the redesign of the top of State Street pedestrian plaza areas on West Mifflin Street and North Carroll Street where State Street meets the Capitol Square. Mifflin Plaza, also known as Philosopher’s Grove, will be redesigned and rebuilt after construction of the Wisconsin History Center is completed as part of a phased project that is anticipated to include improvements to a larger area.
You are invited to attend the public meeting on Thursday, January 30 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. You can join the virtual meeting using your computer, smartphone, or tablet, or you can listen in via telephone. You will receive login information after registering at this link.
The discussion will explore the future use, design and amenities that may be appropriate to enhance the Mifflin Plaza, and the larger top of State Street pedestrian environment. This is the first of several public meetings in an overall design process that is anticipated to occur throughout the year.
