Alert: Maple Prairie Park Area

Greetings Neighbors,

West Police District Captain Kelly Beckett reports that there have been some recent theft from automobiles in the Maple Prairie Park area. Two were reported today (Friday, September 27) that occurred overnight, and Captain Beckett is concerned there may be more. These were forced entry burglaries where the vehicle windows were smashed, likely with a tool. Please make sure you don't leave any valuables in your vehicles! No wallets, no cell phones, no cash, not even loose change!

The Madison Police Department is diligently investigating these thefts. If you see your car has been broken into, notify the police at 608-243-0500 (West District) or 608-255-2345 (non-emergency dispatch).
