Resources for Homebuyers and Property Owners

The exterior of a single-family home.

The City of Madison’s Community Development Division (CDD) supports homeowners and potential homeowners with a variety of programs and resources to promote sustainable homeownership. CDD also provides services to increase the supply of safe, decent, and affordable housing through the renovation of the existing rental housing stock.

The City of Madison and our community partners celebrated Homeownership Month with two recorded informational webinars:

  • Become a Homeowner recorded webinar covers down payment & closing cost assistance, financial literacy & homebuyer education, as well as other avenues for homeownership. The presentation slide deck is also available.
  • Maintain Homeownership recorded webinar covers home repair & accessibility modification programs, post-purchase counseling (e.g. foreclosure prevention, tax credits, maintenance), mobile home assistance, ways to reduce your utility bills, and property tax assistance for older adults. The presentation slide deck is also available.

Be sure to confirm date and time of workshops on hosting agencies' websites and/or materials.
