Onboarding Checklist

Use this document to print or refer to for a smooth onboarding process for your new hires. Use this after you've hired someone, and they're ready to start work at the City of Madison.

New Employee Bio Form

Supervisors should send this to new employee on first day to be completed by end of day. This bio should be sent with a supervisor copied from the new employee to the PIO (Hannah Mohelnitzky, hmohelnitzky@cityofmadison.com) via email to be shared with the division.

A Salary Schedule is a series of salary steps and ranges which make up the rates of pay for all classifications within the bargaining unit. 

Class Specifications

A class specification is a written description of a class, including a description, examples of duties, the minimum qualifications and knowledge, skills and abilities.
