Continuous Improvement

As a part of the City of Madison’s commitment to Performance Excellence, we are engaged in use of continuous improvement processes in multiple areas of government. The key to any continuous improvement process is its focus on ongoing, iterative development of products, services, or processes. These efforts seek “incremental” improvement over time, using a basic Plan-Do-Check-Act (or Deming) Cycle to manage and track improvements.
