Commercial Avenue Sanitary Sewer Reconstruction

Design of the sanitary sewer is far along and coordination with entities outside of the City is underway (Town of Blooming Grove, WisDOT, etc.). Board of Public Works approval for this project was obtained on 7/10/2024. The project will go to Common Council on 8/6/2024. The City is working to schedule a Public Information Meeting sometime over the next few weeks for this project.

Project Overview
This project will replace and upsize approximately 1,678 feet of sanitary sewer along the Commercial Avenue service roads on both the north and south sides of State of Wisconsin Highway 30 (Highway 30) and along North Fair Oaks Avenue. The project will also include an approximately 235 feet of sanitary sewer across Highway 30 that will be installed using trenchless bore and jack methods. No other public improvements are expected with this project.
The work under this contract shall include, but is not limited to, installation of sanitary sewer main (open trench and bore & jack methods), lateral reconnections, and asphalt pavement patching.
Project Limits
- North Fair Oaks Avenue: Highway 30 exit ramp to Commercial Avenue (North)
- Commercial Avenue (North): North Fair Oaks Avenue to Jacobson Avenue
- Commercial Avenue (South): Jacobson Avenue to end of gravel service road
*Note – Work along Commercial Avenue (South) is within the Town of Blooming Grove Right-of-way
