Midvale Blvd Resurfacing & Safety Improvement Project
February 5, 2025 Update
The City is planning to take feedback heard from the Public Information Meeting on Jan 30, 2025 and take a look at a few more alternatives that could be considered for this project. We plan to reach back out and engage the neighborhood around summer 2025. The check in to the Transportation Commission currently scheduled for Feb 19, will be delayed to summer 2025. Approvals and project bidding could potentially occur in fall 2025, with a potential construction start date in spring 2026.

Project Information
Project Overview
The City is planning construction on Midvale Boulevard from Mineral Point Road to University Avenue. The project includes intersection safety improvements, pedestrian crossing improvements, bike lanes, and partial replacement of asphalt pavement. Curb and gutter and sidewalk will be spot replaced as needed.
To accommodate driving, biking and continue to offer some street parking, one option the City is proposing is to narrow a portion of the median and reduce street parking. The City will look at a number of other options as well.
