South Paterson Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement

This page has been created for updates. Work is scheduled to occur in two phases. Phase one will begin Oct. 16, 2024 (pending permitting, may be delay a couple weeks) and finishing by November 27. Phase two would begin in mid-March 2025 and be completed by May 1, 2025.
Normal work hours for public works projects are from 7 a.m.-7 p.m., however, on most days the Contractor will begin promptly at 7 a.m. and work until around 5 p.m. Work on Saturdays is currently not scheduled or anticipated.

Project Overview
The work includes the replacement of the sanitary sewer main along S. Paterson St from E. Washington Ave to Williamson St. The project is being completed in conjunction with the development at 306 S. Paterson St & 838 Williamson St. The project is needed to upsize the sanitary sewer to serve the increase in flow from these new developments.
Phase one (dashed line portion on map) will include installation of a large steel casing pipe under the railroad crossing between E. Main St and Williamson St. Phase two (solid line portion on map) will include the installation of the new sanitary sewer main. Pavement restoration will occur during both phases to keep the street passable.
