September is National Preparedness Month – a great time to review emergency plans with family, friends, and co-workers, or to create new ones if you haven’t already.

Now is the time! “Don’t wait. Communicate.”

National Preparedness Month was created to remind us that we all must take action to prepare, now and throughout the year, for the types of emergencies that could affect us where we live, work, and also where we visit.

Throughout the month, we’ll share tips to help you and your family better prepare for the unexpected. Keep an eye on the MFD Blog for advice on creating a communication plan, creating an evacuation plan, staying connected during an emergency, and what you can do to help the entire community stay prepared and resilient!

Be a part of the nationwide discussion online under the hashtag #NatlPrep.
