Where are you stationed? 

Station 2 (Grand Canyon Drive) on the 'C' shift.

Looking back at the Recruit Academy, what do you remember the most?

When I look back, I remember the times at Station 14 where the whole recruit class would sit and joke around about how hard yesterday was and about how much work today was going to be. It was just a fun time where it was everyone from class sitting and laughing, basically getting our spirits up before we had a whole day of hard work.

What was your first memorable experience with a firefighter or paramedic? 

For me, my first memory with any fire service member was in elementary school when the engine came to my school to talk about fire safety. I can still remember standing by the truck and putting out a small pan fire with an extinguisher to teach us how to use one.

Do you have any family in the EMS or fire services?

I am the first one in my family to pursue any career in the fire service. It was a big learning curve for me, not really knowing what to expect with this job, such as the hours or the relationship you build with your crew.
