Where are you stationed? 

Fire Station 8 (Lien Road) on the 'B' shift

Why did you want to pursue this career?

I want to make a difference in the community I grew up in and around. Being a City of Madison firefighter provides the opportunity to do that. Being there for the community is so rewarding.

What was your first experience with a firefighter or paramedic?

My first lifetime experience with a firefighter was a field trip in 3rd grade. As a kid, I looked at the firefighters and fire trucks as larger than life, and even now, I remember a little field trip way back in 3rd grade.

Looking back at the Recruit Academy, what do you remember the most?

Looking back at the Recruit Academy, I remember my classmates the most. We got to experience a lot of fun and challenging things and stuck together. If I hadn't gotten this opportunity, I would have never connected with such a great group of people.

What are some professional goals you have for yourself?

I just want to get better and learn something about the job each and every shift. Being new to fire and EMS, I still have a lot to learn so I can provide the best service to the City of Madison.
